FAQ

  • What is 3D printing, and how does it work?

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, creates physical objects layer by layer using a digital 3D design. Materials like plastic, resin, or metal are used to produce precise, customized parts or prototypes.

  • What materials do you offer for 3D printing?

We offer a range of materials including:

    Plastics: PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU

Specialty Materials: Carbon fiber, Glass filled, wood-infused filaments

  • Can you print custom designs?

Yes, we can print custom designs based on the 3D model you provide. If you don’t have a design, our team can assist in creating or refining one for you.

  • What file formats do you accept for 3D printing?

We accept STL, OBJ, STEP, and 3MF files. If you file is in a different format, let us know and we’ll help convert it.

  • How long does it take to print an item?

Turnaround times vary based on the complexity and size of the print. Small, simple items can take a few hours, while larger or intricate designs may take several days.

  • What is the maximum size you can print?

Our standard printers have a size of roughly 10”x10”x10” (250mm³) of build space. For larger designs, we offer assembly services for multi-part prints.

  • Can you print in color or multi-materials?

Yes, we offer multi-color and multi-material printing options, depending on the design and materials used.

  • Do you offer finishing or post-processing services?

Absolutely! We provide sanding, painting, polishing, and other finishing options to enhance the final product. These services can have longer wait times due to the curing times of additional materials used.

  • Is 3D printing cost-effective for small production runs?

Yes, 3D printing is ideal for small production runs, prototypes, and custom parts. It eliminates the need for expensive molds or tooling.

  • How accurate are the 3D prints?

Our printers achieve accuracy up to 0.1mm, ensuring precise and detailed results.

  • Do you offer delivery or shipping?

Of course! We have free deliver for our smaller items within Warrensburg, MO city limits. For larger projects we are open to discussing your needs for delivery and/or shipping.

  • Are there any limitations to what can be 3D printed?

Some designs may require adjustments for better structural integrity or printability. Overhands, unsupported structures, or extremely thin features might need redesigning.

  • Can 3D-printed items be used in functional or mechanical applications?

Absolutely! Many of our materials are durable and can be used for functional parts, tools, and mechanical applications.

  • How do I place an order?

You can email your design to us using a filesharing platform such as Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. Once we review your design, we’ll provide a quote and estimated timeline for the project.

  • What industries do you serve?

We serve a variety of industries, including:

    - Prototyping and manufacturing

    - Architecture and design

    - Retail

  • Can I visit your facility to see the printing process?

Since we operate as a home-based business, we currently don’t offer visits or tours of our workspace.

We appreciate your understanding, and if you’re curious about the process, we’d be happy to share videos or photos of our printers in action. Feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions or would like to learn more!
